Participa en el panel discusi\u00f3n sobre Estructura a Gran Escala del Ciclo 3 del James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). Su actividad cient\u00edfica se centra en las aplicaciones del efecto lente gravitatoria en cu\u00e1sares a varios fen\u00f3menos y es miembro de la colaboraci\u00f3n Time-Delay Cosmography (TDCosmo). Actualmente es Director Instituto de Astrof\u00edsica de la Universidad Andr\u00e9s Bello, Chile, Profesor Adjunto del Observatorio Vaticano e Investigador Principal del Megaproyecto Internacional \u201cVariables Vista en la V\u00eda L\u00e1ctea\u201d (VVV). Su actividad cient\u00edfica se centra en diferentes t\u00f3picos: poblaciones estelares, c\u00famulos de estrellas, la V\u00eda L\u00e1ctea, estructura gal\u00e1ctica, formaci\u00f3n de galaxias, microlentes gravitacionales, planetas extrasolares y astrobiolog\u00eda.
